Thoughtful preparation for couples seeking a strong, grounded beginning to marriage.

Premarital Counseling

Preparing for Marriage with Greater Clarity and Connection

Premarital counseling offers couples a thoughtful space to understand one another more deeply before marriage. Rather than focusing only on wedding preparation, sessions explore the relationship patterns, expectations, strengths, and areas of growth that will shape your life together.

This work can help couples strengthen communication, navigate differences with greater care, and begin marriage with clearer expectations and a stronger relational foundation.

What Premarital Counseling Can Help You Explore

Premarital counseling provides space to discuss the practical and relational areas that often shape married life. Sessions may include communication and conflict patterns, expectations for marriage, family-of-origin influences, finances, intimacy, faith and values, roles and responsibilities, and plans for navigating future stressors.

The goal is not to eliminate differences, but to help you understand them, speak about them honestly, and develop healthier ways of responding together.

Prepare/Enrich for Couples

As a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, I offer the assessment as a structured resource for dating, engaged, premarital, and other committed couples seeking greater understanding and intentional growth in their relationship. The assessment helps identify relationship strengths and areas for growth while providing a guided framework for conversations about communication, conflict, finances, family background, intimacy, personality differences, and spiritual beliefs.

Results are reviewed together in session and used to guide conversations around each couple’s specific strengths, concerns, values, and goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all program. Faith integration may also be included when desired.

Begin with Greater Intention

Premarital counseling can help you enter marriage with greater clarity, stronger communication, and a more grounded understanding of one another.
